Dealing with Unjustified Resentment and Competitiveness
Have you experienced being disliked by
someone without any reason? It's confusing because most of the time you can't
recall any negative interactions with that person, but for some odd reason,
they still see you as an enemy or a "frenemy." Similarly, having someone
constantly compete with you can be frustrating, especially when you want
nothing but peace.
It's crucial to do a self-inventory
and self-reflect, however, the issue may not necessarily be about you.
Sometimes people dislike others simply for who they are and what they
carry.
In situations like these, treating
them with love and understanding is important even when it's challenging. Philippians 2:3-4 ESV reminds us to avoid rivalry
and conceit; and instead, practice humility and consideration for others.
It's understandable to feel upset, but it's best not to dwell on it.
Instead, stay focused and avoid these distractions. Because that's all they
are! Distractions!
