Having Healthy Relationships

Having healthy relationships can bring purpose and fulfillment to our lives. We never know what we are missing until we open ourselves up to the new possibilities of relationships. Past hurts and experiences can keep us walled up and if left unchecked will cause us not to be as trusting as we should be. I
t takes courage to build and maintain these relationships, as it requires vulnerability and openness.

Being open and vulnerable in relationships requires a willingness to confront and work through past experiences and emotions. Many of us are not willing to address those feelings because rightfully so they make us uncomfortable. No want to relive the pain of past events. However, it can also lead to greater self-awareness and personal growth.

Careful dissection of those past incidents provides a reflection on how WE could have responded better emotionally, what we could have said better, or how we could have handled the situation better.

Corrective relationships can fill your life with a richness that money cannot buy. If you really want to see how successful a person is, look at who he or she has in his or her environment. Success can be measured in many ways, but having strong connections with others is often a crucial component.

Psalms 133: 1-3

1 Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!

It is like the precious ointment upon the head, that ran down upon the beard, even Aaron's beard: that went down to the skirts of his garments;

As the dew of Hermon, and as the dew that descended upon the mountains of Zion: for there the Lord commanded the blessing, even life for evermore.
