BROKEN BEAUTIFULLY

I have a flower that was on my front porch. Last year a very heavy storm came through. I walked around my yard to survey my house for any damage, I noticed a piece of the flower had been broken off and thrown across my porch separated from its original container. As I picked it up, I considered whether I should toss it or nurse it back to health.

So, I decided to take this branch and put it in water to prorogate it and after some time roots begin to form. This year the entire original plant died, because it is an annual plant. This means the plant will bloom and is expected to die in the same year. But one year later this branch which was also expected to die was broken off and is still going strong and blooming beautifully.

IF YOU WILL ALLOW HIM TO MAKE YOU STRONG AGAIN AND ALLOW HIM INTO YOUR BROKEN PLACES, HE WILL MAKE YOU WHOLE.

I tell you this story to say that in life we will go through hardships, even things that will break our heart, and some of us have experienced painful sudden separations. We have had good times where we could bloom and shine, but we have also suffered betrayals, woundings, and brokenness.

But never fear, God is close to the broken hearted. He will mend and repair your wounds and cast away your old memories. He will create new experiences for you that will correct the old. He will help you form new roots and learn to live a life rooted and grounded in him. See what I did there?

If you allow him to make you strong again and allow him into your broken places, he will make you whole. I’m so proud of my little plant, just like God is proud of you for not giving up. Be beautiful!
