A caring attitude
Caring people are
instrumental in our lives. When I was in junior high, there was a teacher
working on something that looked very interesting. Every day, on the way to
break, I would pass by her classroom and take a good peek inside. One day, I
entered asked her what she was doing. She explained she was writing code.
From that day onward, I
would spend my break with her, and she would teach me little steps, and helped
me write my first program! She spoke greatness into me! She warned me that
there were few women in the field, and that there would be challenges; but she
was the only one I ever recall encouraging me to pursue a career in IT.
To my disappointment, she never returned after
the summer break. I never saw her again! Her willingness to take the time to
teach a little girl that did not look like her was enough to ignite my love for
all things technology. God used her caring attitude, and it is the reason I
entered the IT field. You never know whose life you will help shape, just
showing you care.
